THE DARKNESS: New Single Posted Online
October 4, 2005THE DARKNESS' new track "One Way Ticket", the lead-off single from the band's forthcoming second studio album, "One Way Ticket To Hell …And Back", has been posted online at www.myspace.com/thedarkness.
"One Way Ticket to Hell... And Back" is scheduled for release on November 28 in the United Kingdom via Must Destroy/Atlantic and a day later in North America. "One Way Ticket" will be released commercially November 14 in the United Kingdom.
The album is the follow-up to THE DARKNESS' 2003 debut, "Permission to Land", (Must Destroy/Atlantic),which has sold more than 680,000 units in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
"One Way Ticket to Hell... And Back" will be THE DARKNESS' first release with new bassist Richie Edwards (ex-ONION TRUMP),who replaced Frankie Poullain in June. For the past two years, Edwards has toured extensively with the band as their guitar technician.
THE DARKNESS frontman Justin Hawkins' solo project BRITISH WHALE recently entered the U.K. single chart at No. 6 with its cover of the 1974 hit "This Town Ain't Big Enough for the Both of Us" by SPARKS.
